17 — Troubleshooting

Common issues and how to fix them, organized by symptom. Check here before contacting support — most issues have a quick fix.

"The whole site's interactive features suddenly stopped working" (cart, wishlist, search, swatches, everything)

This is almost always one of two causes:

  1. A caching/optimization plugin is combining or minifying JavaScript files. Plugins like WP Rocket, Autoptimize, LiteSpeed Cache, and W3 Total Cache have settings to merge and compress all your site's scripts together for speed — but this can break the specific loading order Raftaar Commerce's interactive features depend on. Fix: in your caching plugin's settings, turn off JavaScript combination/aggregation (sometimes called "Combine JS files" or similar), or specifically exclude the theme's scripts from it. The rest of that plugin's caching features are fine to keep on.
  2. A required script failed to load (for example, due to a firewall, ad-blocker, or a temporary outage of the service it loads from). Try a hard refresh (Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + R), and check from a different network/device to rule out something blocking it locally.

"A feature works sometimes but not other times" / "I see a 'this theme is not licensed' bar at the bottom of my site"

Check that your license is active — see License, Activation & Updates. An inactive license shows a clear bar at the bottom of every page saying so, but on top of that, a number of individual features (search, quick view, filters, product comparison, wishlist, and others) can also start behaving inconsistently. If something is behaving oddly, or you've spotted that bar, checking your license status should always be your first step, before assuming it's a bug.

"Some in-stock products are missing from my shop page, with no reason shown"

This is the single most important thing to check your license for. An inactive or lapsed license can cause a portion of your catalog to become invisible on shop/category pages — with the product still existing and in stock, no error, and nothing in any log pointing to the cause. If this happens, check License, Activation & Updates before investigating anything else.

"Add to Cart doesn't seem to do anything — no error, item isn't added"

Try:

  1. Refresh the page and try again (this rules out a temporary hiccup).
  2. Check your license status.
  3. If you were clicking rapidly/repeatedly, wait a few moments — very fast repeated actions can be temporarily throttled as a safety measure.
  4. Make sure the specific color/size combination you selected is actually in stock.

"My WhatsApp button isn't showing"

Two things are both required: the WhatsApp Button toggle turned on and a phone number entered, both under Customize → Marketing → WhatsApp Button. Having the toggle on with no number entered will not show the button.

If that block references one specific product (RC Hero set to a product, or RC Single Product), and that product has since been deleted or moved to Trash, the block will render nothing rather than showing an error. Edit the block and select a currently-existing product.

"A block/section is missing, but only on some screen sizes"

Every block (including standard WordPress blocks) has "Hide on Desktop / Tablet / Mobile" toggles in its settings — it's easy to switch one on by accident. Click into the block, check its settings panel for these toggles, and make sure none are enabled unintentionally.

"A WooCommerce extension/plugin I installed doesn't show anything on the product page"

Raftaar Commerce fully rebuilds the product page for design and speed, rather than using WooCommerce's default hook-based layout. Plugins that add their content into the default WooCommerce product page layout (common for subscriptions, product bundles, deposits, add-ons, and waitlist-style plugins) may not display anything there, even though the plugin itself is working correctly elsewhere (like in emails or the admin). This is a known trade-off of the theme's design, not a bug — check with support about compatibility before relying on a plugin like this.

"The transparent header isn't working on this page"

The transparent header effect only applies to your homepage and blog index page by design — it won't apply on other page types even if the setting is turned on.

"Comments aren't showing on a blog post"

If that specific post is password-protected, visitors are shown a "enter the password" prompt instead of the comment section — this is expected, not a bug.

"The layout looks mirrored / text runs the wrong direction"

This is expected, automatic behavior if your site's language is set to a right-to-left language (Arabic, Hebrew, Urdu, etc.) — see Performance & SEO.

"My mobile menu shows different items than I expected"

See the troubleshooting section in Menus & Navigation.

Before contacting support

Having the following ready will speed up any support request:

  • Your license status (active/inactive) from Raftaar Commerce → License.
  • Whether the issue happens with all plugins temporarily deactivated except WooCommerce (helps rule out a plugin conflict).
  • Whether the issue happens in a different browser or in a private/incognito window (helps rule out a caching or browser-extension issue).
  • Your WordPress, PHP, and WooCommerce versions (visible under Tools → Site Health → Info).
