09 — Wishlist
Let customers save products to come back to later — fully built in, no plugin required.
How it works
A heart icon appears on product cards, quick-view popups, and the product page — clicking it saves that product to the customer's personal wishlist. It's available almost everywhere a product is shown across your site (product grids, cart cross-sells, the full search results page, and more) — the one place it's not shown is the small instant search-as-you-type dropdown, which stays minimal by design.
The heart button itself can be turned off from Customize → Shop & Products → Product Cards if you'd rather not offer wishlisting at all.
Guests vs. logged-in customers
- Not logged in: their wishlist is saved in their browser (so it's remembered if they come back on the same device/browser, but won't follow them to a different device).
- Logged in: their wishlist is saved to their account, and follows them across any device they log in on.
If a guest builds up a wishlist and then logs in or creates an account, their saved items automatically carry over into their account — nothing is lost.
Where customers view their wishlist
A Wishlist tab appears in the customer's My Account area (see Your Account), showing everything they've saved as a normal product grid they can browse and shop from.
Troubleshooting
- The heart icon doesn't seem to respond when clicked. Try refreshing the page first. If it continues, check that your license is active — see License, Activation & Updates, as a few features (including this one) require an active license to work reliably.
- A wishlist item shows a broken/missing product. This happens if a product that was previously wishlisted has since been deleted from your store. It doesn't affect anything else — the customer can safely remove it from their wishlist.
